Statement on Russo-Ukrainian War
At Ukrany, we staunchly support Ukraine during these tumultuous times. Given the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian conflict, we've chosen not to collaborate with Russian entities, undertake projects related to Russia, or adjust our hiring practices accordingly. We value principles and stand by our decisions with conviction.
Ukrany's Clear Position in Light of the Ongoing War
As one of Ukraine's homegrown companies, Ukrany has always valued the principles of integrity, unity, and national pride. Given the present circumstances with the still-active war, we find it essential to not only voice our stance but also take definitive actions that resonate with our core values. We believe it's not just about business; it's about safeguarding our homeland, our identity, and supporting the brave souls who are on the front lines.
Proactive Measures Since 24th February 2022
Reassessing Business Relationships: In these critical times, it becomes vital to align our business dealings with our ethical compass. This is why we have severed ties with Russian companies and any other company that indirectly supports Russia. Furthermore, our presence in the Russian market is halted. These decisions, although challenging, reflect our dedication to Ukraine and its future.
Updates in Recruitment: Hiring the right talent has always been our strength, focusing on an individual's ability and potential. However, the current circumstances have necessitated a change. As a result, we've decided to pause hiring Russian nationals. This is a step taken not out of prejudice, but from a standpoint of clear organizational and national alignment.
Aiding the Frontlines
It's crucial for us to be more than bystanders during these times. Thus, a portion of Ukrany's earnings is set aside to assist the Ukrainian army. This financial support aids in logistics, resources, and the overall morale of those defending our borders. When we talk about profits, it's not just about numbers and business growth for us; it's about how we can contribute to the larger cause, ensuring that our nation remains strong and resilient.
Additionally, we encourage other businesses, both within Ukraine and internationally, to consider ways they can assist. It could be in the form of financial donations, humanitarian aid, or even moral support. Every bit counts, and collective efforts can make a considerable difference.
